Amit Gogya Teacher Academy
A run-down school transformed into GOGYA — a teacher academy that gives Israel’s educators the same student-centered spaces AMIT wants them to create for their own students.
A national academy for AMIT’s teachers.

A place to teach the teachers.
AMIT is one of Israel’s leading education networks, serving roughly 100 schools. To spread new ideas across all of them, its leadership decided to start with teachers — giving them a modern, well-equipped place to learn. Education Design International, working with Alefbet Planners, took the only space available — a poorly designed, run-down school — and completely gutted and renovated it into GOGYA.
The hallmark of the design is simple: GOGYA gives teachers the same kind of dynamic, student-centered experience that AMIT wants those teachers to create for their own students. Flexible studios with mobile furniture, glass-walled breakout rooms, and shaded outdoor terraces let educators move between presentation, small-group work, and informal exchange — learning in the kind of environment they are being asked to build back home.
Since opening, GOGYA has become a nationally recognized model, and several thousand teachers have already passed through its program and spaces.
