Yew Wah International Education School — Zhejiang Tongxiang
A bilingual, bicultural K2–Grade 13 campus in Zhejiang’s Tongxiang — interconnected Learning Communities that blend Eastern and Western education for a globally connected future.
A bilingual campus built for creativity, inquiry, and exchange.

A bilingual campus that blends East and West.
Yew Wah International Education School’s Zhejiang Tongxiang campus is a future-focused, bilingual learning environment that blends Eastern and Western educational philosophies. Spanning roughly 16,000 square meters and serving about 770 students from K2 through Grade 13, the 2017 campus was shaped by Education Design International across visioning, concept design, schematic design, and design development — exploring how flexible learning environments could create a highly engaging educational ecosystem for a globally connected future.
The campus is organized around interconnected Learning Communities that move beyond traditional classroom-based instruction toward a collaborative, inquiry-driven, student-centered model. Flexible learning studios, collaborative commons, project spaces, seminar rooms, maker labs, arts environments, and social learning hubs are woven throughout to support interdisciplinary exploration, project-based learning, independent inquiry, performance-based learning, and technology-enhanced education.
A major emphasis was Yew Wah’s commitment to creativity, language immersion, and cultural exchange — supported by specialized STEM environments, visual and performing arts spaces, music programs, innovation labs, and science facilities. Strong indoor–outdoor connections, shaded courtyards, ecological landscapes, and active social terraces turn the campus into a vibrant educational village that supports both Chinese and international perspectives.
