Perelman Jewish Day School
A future-ready facilities master plan that reimagines the school’s historic Wynnewood campus as an “Integrated Educational Ecosystem” of connected Learning Communities.
A future-ready vision for Jewish learning — rooted in a historic campus.

Reimagining a historic campus as an Integrated Educational Ecosystem.
The Perelman Jewish Day School Facilities Master Plan reimagines the school’s Wynnewood campus as a highly connected, future-ready Jewish educational ecosystem — designed to strengthen authentic learning, community connection, student agency, and Jewish identity throughout daily school life. Developed with school leadership, faculty, students, and community stakeholders through a collaborative discovery and visioning process, the plan establishes a long-term framework for aligning Perelman’s physical environment with its educational mission and values. Its organizing idea is an “Integrated Educational Ecosystem,” in which academic spaces, community environments, outdoor learning, social interaction, reflection, and spiritual life work together as one cohesive experience rather than isolated functions.
At the heart of the plan is a shift away from static, traditional models toward Learning Communities that support many different ways of learning and teaching. Seminar rooms, breakout spaces, collaborative commons, reflection environments, learning nooks, interdisciplinary project spaces, movable walls, and adaptable furnishings are woven throughout to encourage inquiry, student choice, collaboration, co-teaching, and personalized learning — while reinforcing a deeper connection to Torah, Israel, and Jewish values.
The plan also strengthens ties between the school and the wider community, through improved gathering spaces, upgraded athletics and auditorium facilities, expanded outdoor learning, gardens and natural play, and stronger connections to the adjacent JCC campus. A phased implementation strategy and “Pathfinder” approach allow Perelman to evolve its educational practices and physical environments gradually over time — balancing tradition with innovation in service of authentic learning, spiritual growth, and holistic student development.
