NSBM Green University Town
A 150-acre university town that integrates education, innovation, and community into a single campus experience — the region's first green university, certified BCA Green Mark Gold.
A green university town.

Learning that extends beyond the classroom.
Developed for the National School of Business Management, NSBM Green University Town redefines the traditional university campus by creating a vibrant academic community where learning extends beyond the classroom. Conceived as a new-generation university town, the campus brings together education, research, entrepreneurship, recreation, and residential life within a cohesive and future-ready environment that supports both academic excellence and student wellbeing.
EDI was appointed as the Educational Facility Planner and Co-Design Architect to develop a campus that reflects contemporary approaches to higher education. The master plan organises the university into distinct yet interconnected zones, including public spaces for innovation and enterprise, academic facilities, shared student amenities, and residential communities. This layered planning approach creates a seamless transition between learning, collaboration, and everyday campus life while encouraging interaction across disciplines.
Sustainability is embedded throughout the development, reinforcing NSBM’s vision of becoming a leading green university in South Asia. Designed to promote environmental responsibility and long-term resilience, the campus became the region’s first green university and achieved the BCA Green Mark Gold certification for sustainable buildings. The result is a landmark higher education campus that supports innovation, fosters collaboration, and provides an inspiring environment for the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
