Netivot HaTorah Day School
A reimagining of the Thornhill campus — strategic renovations and a major new addition that unite the school as “one school,” rooted in Netivot’s Jewish values.
A reimagined campus, designed to function as one school.

Reimagining the North Campus as a unified learning ecosystem.
The Netivot HaTorah North Campus Reimagining transforms the school’s existing Thornhill campus into a more unified, future-ready educational environment — designed to strengthen authentic learning, Jewish identity, community connection, and learner-centered practice. Through strategic renovations and a major new addition, the project brings programs back together — notably returning Grades 4 and 5 to the primary campus so the school can function cohesively as “one school” — while adding expanded learning studios, collaborative environments, flexible breakout spaces, and a new middle-school-sized gymnasium for active learning, athletics, and community gathering.
The educational vision is rooted in Netivot’s Jewish values and a broader philosophy of holistic excellence, integrating religious identity, academic rigor, and modern educational innovation into a single learning ecosystem. Learning Communities are designed to support many teaching and learning modalities — inquiry-based and hands-on project work, small-group collaboration, seminar instruction, co-teaching, independent exploration, science and arts integration, social learning, and technology-enhanced instruction.
Outdoor learning and play environments are reimagined as extensions of the school day, with nature-based learning zones, hard-surface and movement-focused play, climbing experiences, learning trails, and amphitheater-style gathering areas that support physical development, creativity, and social-emotional learning. Vehicular circulation, drop-off, playground organization, and campus security were each studied to keep the campus safe and efficient — the result a highly integrated, future-focused Jewish educational environment that balances tradition with innovation in service of authentic learning, community connection, and student wellbeing.
