Liwa International School for Girls
A comprehensive campus redesign for Liwa International School for Girls in Al Ain — collaborative, student-centred learning environments for 1,052 students, with grade-based clusters for younger girls and a departmental layout above.
A campus shaped around how girls learn.

A girls' campus, redesigned for collaboration.
Liwa International School for Girls offers an American international curriculum to girls in the heart of Al Ain. As enrollment grew, EDI led a comprehensive redesign of its campus for 1,052 students, replacing traditional classrooms with collaborative, student-centred learning environments throughout the school.
The plan reads differently at different ages. In the primary section, grade-based clusters create settled, age-appropriate settings where younger girls feel at home. In the middle and high school, a departmental layout supports deeper, subject-specific learning, giving older students spaces organised around the way they study.
Hands-on, real-world learning runs through the design. Dedicated labs for robotics, textiles, culinary arts, and entrepreneurship give students room to make, test, and build — developing critical thinking and creativity, and opening practical paths for young women. The redesigned campus turns everyday learning into something more active and collaborative.
