Istanbul International Community School
A master plan for an international K-12 campus on a 28-acre site in Istanbul — existing buildings retained, and landscape drawn indoors through planting, outdoor learning, and a reworked water channel.
A 28-acre campus planned so that architecture and landscape work as one.

A master plan that draws the landscape indoors.
Istanbul International Community School was planned around the relationship between architecture, landscape, and learning. Set on a 28-acre site, the work retained the existing building footprints and reorganised the campus into a connected environment for children from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
EDI developed the master plan alongside the interior and facade design, strengthening the links between the Kindergarten, the main academic building, and the Global Learning Centre so that movement and interaction run naturally across the campus. Existing green space extends into the buildings through planting, outdoor learning areas, and clear sightlines that soften the line between inside and out.
A central water channel was reworked as a bioswale and ecological landscape feature, improving the way the site handles water while tying the campus together as one continuous landscape.
