Invento the Uzbek International School
A future-focused IB campus in Tashkent — a networked ecosystem of Learning Communities that blends global citizenship with Uzbek cultural identity on a compact urban site.
An ambitious IB campus, organized vertically on a compact city site.

An IB campus where global learning meets Uzbek heritage.
Invento the Uzbek International School was envisioned as a highly innovative, globally minded IB campus supporting inquiry-driven learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and whole-child development within the evolving educational landscape of Uzbekistan. Developed as a future-focused international school in Tashkent, the design carefully blends contemporary educational practice with Uzbek cultural identity, creating a learning environment that celebrates both global citizenship and local heritage. Its educational vision moves beyond traditional classroom-based instruction toward an open, networked ecosystem of Learning Communities, with adaptable academic environments — collaborative commons, seminar rooms, project studios, breakout spaces, and specialty labs — that support inquiry-based, project-based, collaborative, and student-directed learning aligned with the International Baccalaureate philosophy.
A major focus was an extensive innovation and specialty-learning program tailored to each educational stage. Primary Years spaces emphasize exploration, sensory learning, storytelling, creativity, movement, ecology, and hands-on discovery through environments such as tinkering labs, maker spaces, science labs, and arts studios. Middle Years and Diploma Programme students gain access to advanced robotics labs, coding studios, media-production environments, environmental-science labs, design-technology spaces, visual-arts studios, music-production rooms, and interdisciplinary innovation labs designed to prepare them for future careers and emerging industries.
The project responded carefully to a highly constrained urban site with strict height limits, setbacks, and permitted-area restrictions. Through extensive site analysis and planning studies, EDI worked closely with the client to organize the campus vertically — balancing an ambitious educational vision with the realities of a compact footprint while preserving dynamic indoor-outdoor relationships, collaborative social environments, and future-ready learning spaces. The result establishes a bold, forward-thinking vision for international education in Uzbekistan, where innovation, inquiry, culture, flexibility, and student wellbeing combine into a highly engaging educational ecosystem for the next generation of global learners.
