Gulliver Prep
A campus master plan and Innovation Center concept for a Miami PK-12 school — reimagining the Upper and Lower School campuses around innovation, collaboration, and student-centered learning.
A campus reimagined around innovation and collaboration.

A master plan reimagining two campuses as connected learning environments.
Education Design International led the educational visioning, campus master planning, and Innovation Center concept design for Gulliver Preparatory School. The master plan reimagines both the Upper School and Lower School campuses as highly connected, student-centered learning environments designed to support innovation, wellbeing, collaboration, and future-ready education. Developed through a comprehensive visioning and master planning process, it aligns Gulliver’s facilities with the school’s strategic goals of empowering student agency, strengthening community, and enhancing interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
At the Upper School campus, the master plan introduces a new Student Center building positioned on the site of the former gymnasium. Conceived as the social and academic heart of the campus, the two-story collaboration hub includes STEM and robotics labs, makerspaces, seminar rooms, learning commons, breakout rooms, social cafés, project labs, and flexible collaboration environments that encourage inquiry-based and project-driven learning. The design emphasizes visibility, connectivity, and student interaction through features such as a central social stair, double-height gathering spaces, and indoor-outdoor learning environments.
Throughout the master plan, EDI emphasized Learning Communities, interdisciplinary collaboration, student wellbeing, experiential learning, and stronger connections between indoor and outdoor spaces. The resulting vision creates a more unified and future-focused campus ecosystem that supports personalized learning, creativity, leadership development, and meaningful community engagement.
