BIPIN BHADRAN

In his capacity as EDI’s Managing Director, Bipin is responsible for overseeing the design quality from an educational perspective, ensuring it is in sync with the latest global trends and abiding by the firm’s core philosophy of creating high performance learning environments for the 21st century. Acting as the primary point of contact across Asia & Africa, he has been able to convey the organization’s unique philosophy and outlook to clients in the region. Currently based in Bangalore, India he runs EDI’s largest design studio – www.educationdesign.in. From its inception as a one-man shop in 2010, Bipin has built the Bangalore Studio into the country’s leading education facilities planning and design firm which has won the country’s most prestigious design award for excellence. He has presented cutting edge ideas on innovative learning space design at several national, regional and international conferences.

Bipin has travelled extensively & overseen the design and/or construction of many successful and innovative projects. These include the Istanbul International Community School in Turkey, Oakridge International School in Bangalore, Safa Community School in Dubai, GIIS Smart Campus in Singapore, The International School of Azerbaijan in Baku, Abu Dhabi University, Aga Khan Academies in East Africa, American Embassy School in New Delhi, Concordia International School in Hanoi and a new University for the National School of Business Management in Sri Lanka to name only a few. During early 2020, he played a vital role consulting for the World Bank to revamp school education & infrastructure in Central Asian countries including Uzbekistan & Kyrgyzstan.

The key to his success lies his ability to comprehend end user expectations, build wider consensus, and distil a unified vision while working with multiple stakeholders. He brings thoughtful leadership to every project with the goal of delivering exceptional quality with a visibly higher value. Before migrating to EDI, Bipin served in a similar capacity as Regional Director for Fielding Nair International. Bipin has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering and an MBA from Leeds University Business School, UK.
